Quick Hash

Purpose

Allows easy computation of "hash" functions. A hash function is a function that can be used to map data of arbitrary size to data of fixed size. The values returned by a hash function are called hash values, hash codes, hash sums, or simply hashes. One use is a data structure called a hash table, widely used in computer software for rapid data lookup. Another use is for cryptographic purposes. A cryptographic hash function is a hash function which is considered practically impossible to invert, that is, to recreate the input data from its hash value alone. The input data is often called the message, and the hash value is often called the message digest or simply the digest.

Hash Functions

A number of hash functions are available in the current version, such as: MD5, SHA1, SHA256, SHA512, SHA3-224, SHA3-256, SHA3-384, SHA3-512, RIPEMD160.

Ideas

Hashes are sometimes used for storing passwords in an unreversible manner. This App can be used by programmers to quickly generate or validate such data.
